 I went for a messy style of colouring just as a test, looks interesting, but I'm not too sure its really going to work:

Going for some sort of industrial age theme. I wanted to get some rough sketches down so I drew the ideas on postage notes, I'm going to try drawing over these in Photoshop and then colour them in:

 Been a long break since I've done any work, this is just a little something to kick back into it. Took me about 5 minutes and I've left it at original size.

I took a step away from the tablet and went to join with my siblings to do some drawing on paper. It was actually quite useful to me. I remembered what one of my lecturers had told me in creating characters through simple shapes. I'm still keeping to a fantasy theme but I think this style could reach out to others themes:
