I took a step away from the tablet and went to join with my siblings to do some drawing on paper. It was actually quite useful to me. I remembered what one of my lecturers had told me in creating characters through simple shapes. I'm still keeping to a fantasy theme but I think this style could reach out to others themes:

Warrior's Head (No outline test)

This is a little test where I'm trying to eliminate the strong black outline in the drawing and adding extra lighting effects.

However, first I had to draw it with its outline, enlarged and then the brush thinned:

Then I coloured it in, replaced the black outline with the colours of the drawing and then developed and improved:
