2D scenery

For some scenery including my character I though I'd go for a similar style to games like 'Rayman Legends' by Ubisoft, using layers of backgrounds to make a diverse and appealing piece of scenery. This work in progress is a simple jungle scene, but I need to figure out what art style would work best with the character.
